I didn't say it wouldn't be in that output, I said wether it will be in there or not \
depends on how your Qt was built.

Apparently thats not the whole truth. QMake seems to have an internal default of \
"debug" set (at least I can't find easily where the first debug comes from), then \
later on QMake reads the mkspecs for your platform, the linux-g++/qmake.conf sets \
warn_on release incremental, so thats where the first release comes from. The last \
release I think is from the options supplied to configure when building Qt, as those \
last values differ here between the System Qt4 and my own qt4 build.

QMake always takes the last value as the one that is active. Why CONFIG -= debug \
wasn't added in your case I don't know. Could be that this was just due to the order \
in the code where the radiobuttons are "translated" into changes of the .pro file.
