Summary: png image printing size ignored
Product: kdeprint
Version: unspecified
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdeprint_bugs swing be
ReportedBy: yeupou coleumes org
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
I have a 149.94 x 117.06 mm PNG image, with resolution set to be 6,5693 pixels/mm. So the \
actual size in pixel is 985 x 769.
When I print it with konqueror or kuickshow, I end up with a printout which is bigger than \
149.94 x 117.06 mm. It looks like it simply disregarded the image resolution and printed it as \
it was on screen, with the screen resolution.
That's a quite annoying problem, as I'd like to print several images at their defined size \
without modifying the file and loosing data, by reducing the image resolution to my screen \
resolution.
It looks like two persons using different screen resolution would have a hard time sharing \
images of fixed size and expecting them to produce the same printouts...
