Summary: CDDB lookup after ripping (Ã la iTunes)
           Product: amarok
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist lists sourceforge net
        ReportedBy: jmfayard gmail com

Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

In addition to the musicbrainz integration that amarok already has, it would be very \
friendly and time-saving for everyone that has a non-permanent internet connection in \
general, or a analogic modem in particular (Yes, that's still the majority of \
computer users !) to implement Bug 96104

See here : http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96104

In short, imagine that when I rip my CD, I'm not connected to internet. The KIOSlave \
audiocd:/ (or possibly in the future "grip" or another app) put \
"CDDBDISCID=f70db710?" in the comment field. Then I use amarok and I'm connected to \
internet ; I select the tracks with no ID3tags, amarok see that a "CDDBDISCID=..." is \
there, add an option in the contextual menu to do CDDB lookup to rename the files / \
add id3tag information.
