This is similiar to bug: 72199.  Currently I too have had to use imwheel to map the \
extra buttons correctly.  When KDE offers you a shortcut input button, the mouse \
buttons should trigger as well.  This would allow you to use the normal shortcut \
mechanism to perform actions.
