Nothing to do with KDE, but if you make 'fs=yes' in /etc/mplayer.conf then it will \
always open as fullscreen. Or the -fs switch. See man mplayer.

I have that on, so perhaps thats why I couldn't reproduce the bug. If I open up \
mplayer, un-fullscreen it, adjust the window size/move it, click Store Window \
Settings, full screen it again and then ESC quit. Then if I run mplayer, \
un-fullscreen it, the window is in the same place as before. In otherwords, as you \
would expect.

However, I was able to reproduce the bug with KMplayer. If you come out of full \
screen mode with it, the kmplayer window moves to the top-right (which shouldn't be \
the behavior regardless of whether Store Windows Settings was selected).  In fact, \
when un-fullsizing the movie image itself doesn't resize. So perhaps the bug is \
completely one of KMplayer.
