Another way around this, is for someone to provide Latex integration into KDevelop.  \
KDevelop already has good project management, CVS integration, the editor supports \
Latex syntax (I just tried this), all that is needed is for someone to make a new \
project wizard for Latex, and for it to support the compiling options for a Latex \
document.  Perhaps "compile" in the kdevelop menu could run latex, and the "execute \
program" could run some customized command, like dvi2pdf && acroread.
