Once again: this is a _RedHat_ packaging bug, you should be bugging them instead
of us. But I can give a hand so that we finally know the fix (someone mentionned
it, but not on bugs.kde.org, so I forgot it now).

Where's your kword.desktop file?
Of course the fix is to tell KDE about the dir where it is - or to copy
all the .desktop files from KOffice into /var/lib/menu/kde/Application
