If I'm to have any change of fixing this you will have to get a backtrace 
somehow. If kicker crashed, you should have gotten the crash manager dialog. 
If it is running and seems to be hung, do a "kill -6 <pid of kicker>" and you 
should again get the crash manager dialog.
