Subject: Problem compiling with ALSA support
From: jgluckca@altavista.com

Package: kdelibs
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Kernel 2.4.9, ALSA 0.9.0beta7

If ALSA support is compiled in with ALSA 0.9.0beta7 then compile fails in the \
sequencer code.

It appears that this version has redefined some of the open functions to take 4 \
parameters instead of 2. The sequencer buffer flush no longer exist in ALSA.

It appears the headers are no longer in the same places. I also think some of the \
headers may have bugs.

I tried to track down the source of the problems but each thing I fixed just brought \
up new problems.
