Subject: Bug#38807: Kmix 5 Speaker Balance Lacking and Recording Bug
From: fritzy () fritzyandfriends ! com
Date: 2002-02-28 22:29:23
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kmix
Version: 1.90 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Redmond Linux Personal, Amethyst
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.12
OS/Compiler notes:
Please make a balance for front and rear speakers on an analog speaker system. Igain \
and Ogain seem to give weird results, depending on whether the "record" feature is \
activated on it or not. When record is selected on Igain, it increases the volume of \
my rear speakers and lowers the volume of my subwoofer. When record is selected, it \
seems to control the volume of the rear speakers, and when record isn't selected it \
controls the volume of the bass. In either case, selecting or de-selecting record \
changes volume levels dramatically.
I'm using a SB Live OEM with Altec Lansings analog 5 speaker set. KMix labels the \
device as Creative SBLive - Emu10k1.
On a final note, Saving the Default Volumes should save which input is mapped to \
record.
