So your point is that the current Oxygen icons look fuzzy at smaller sizes,

I don't know much about desigining icons etc, but this sounds reasonable. I 
wonder, though, does this work when the interfaces are scalable? I guess not, 
right?

Could you probably make two icons, eg one designed with, and one designed 
without these pixel boundaries? preferably a modified oxygen icon or 
something, so we can clearly see what you mean?
