I have been sitting back listening to this talk about
the Crystal and Nuvola Icon themes and how we should
manage our default icon theme. Well, here is my 2
cents.

1. I agree that we should make more exact standards for the KDE
default icon theme "based" on the Crystal icon set. (ie.
light source, color pallete, shadow, mimetype style,
etc) We should also add icon templates and more
tutorials to the Icon Style guide.

2. We could put all the approved icons in hicolor. (??)

3. The default icons don't have all come from the
Crystal set as long as they fit the approved criteria
and the look and feel. (This way Everaldo and any
other authors can keep their icons themes intact and
stay true to their own artistic goals and the KDE
default icon theme can evolve to fit KDEs specific
needs.)

Benefits:

1. We would have a consistant default icon theme that
is manageable and has room to evolve.

2. The more detailed criteria and templates will make
it easier for artist to submitt new themes that can
blend seamlessly into KDE without having to make a
mammoth theme.

What do you think?
