Perhaps we need to get better organized. There is a bug requesting an icon.

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72858

Yes, there is an icon named: "source_java".

Perhaps the problem is the name. Does it apply to other types of Java files
such as JARs? or only to source code.

Or perhaps it is because the light color cup on the light gray background is
useless in small sizes.

I would have to be objective and say that the new Sun Java logo isn't very good
at low resolutions (small sizes) either -- it is only slightly better. When the
icon I made is displayed at 32x32 (logo is 24x24) it isn't very good (I would
rate it as acceptable -- not as good), but you can recognize it by color.

It is also mitigated by the fact that this is the Sun logo for Java (people
should have seen it before so it would be easier to recognize).

I wouldn't recommend that we use Sun's English pun and put a jar on the icon for
a JAR file.

Note if we need a better copy of the Sun Java logo, I can try again and try to
optimize what AutoTrace did, or do the cup by hand.
