The upstream project is not responsible for system integration in all operating
systems. We maintain the system integration only for the operating systems we
produce images for. This is for the obvious reason that we are not the ones
dong the system integration elsewhere.

We know touch events do work when the QML stack is properly built and
integrated because the work properly on the systems we do that work on (and
we've done it on multiple OSes over the last 3 releases)

The problems reported  here will need to be addressed by the *buntu derivatives
mentioned in the individual reports. Please report the issue directly to those
projects. Thanks :)
