I was wondering what people thought of the merits of trying to provide
simpler entry to Linux from other (simpler/easier) OSs like Win$$$ and MacOS
etc. I don't just mean the installers, which are getting better and better.
I mean the actual running as well, like getting things done. I am certain
that this prohibits some users moving over.

If this is too far off topic, reply direct to me, at
sambc@nights.force9.co.uk as I would like to investigate opinions and
interest in such a system with a view to trying to get some bolt-on
simplifications written, with better docs.
