Hi Bill,

But who's using /usr/X11R6/bin/X? Mandrake uses /etc/X11/X which is a direct
link to XMach64 and not to /usr/X11R6/bin/X nor Xwraper

AFAIK: Xwrapper is what you are supposed to run instead of X.
Xwrapper is owned by root and has the SUID bit set (or should), whereas
X does not have the SUID bit set anymore.  This was a security
feature.
