ugh, GIF file format. Did you pay your $5000? ;>
Anyway :) I just tried again - crashes. Would a gdb output be of any help?

In terms of stability, it kind of feels like M8, if you know what I mean.
:)

No, Linux can do Flash, Realplayer etc. What I would like to have is a
"plugin plugin" so that you can use any kind of Linux application to handle
any kind of known file format, but _within_ _the_ _browser (not opening a
new window, not even re-rendering anything - like [tags left out on
purpose]

img src=file.gif # works, I suppose :)
embed file.pdf # display the PDF _within_ HTML text
embed movie.mov # like img src, but with p/ff/rew
controls, and moving :)

Something like Plugger for Netscape, but better. <g>

That is quite understandable. Linux does a lot of plugins already, though.
