Add a user called kde2.

Have something like this in /etc/profile:

if [ "$USER" = "kde2" ]
then
  KDEDIR="/opt/kde2"
  QTDIR="/usr/local/qt2"
else
  KDEDIR="/opt/kde"
  QTDIR="/usr/local/qt-1.44"
fi

KDEBIN="$KDEDIR/bin"

etc etc
