No, it let's you display either (A)ll tasks or just the ones on the (L)ocal
desktop. Which doesn't do a lot when you only have apps on one desktop when
you try it. Don't know if I would have ever figured it out without a look at
kpanel's source code. ;-)
I'll stick to (A) though, I actually use the taskbar entries to switch
desktops most of the time.
