You just experienced the famous Bigfoot flaw. I think you can find info on
the Dejanews about. Bigfoot are *very* bad. Especially those having pair
number of Gigs: 2, 4, 6.

Three friends of mine had it and (they used it only under windows and)
lost it in the same circumstances.
