A few items i picked up on my quick reading.
First,
You shouldn't have to be apologetic about not getting the KC last week. As you
say in the frist section, this is a service you provide the community for
free and as such other things take priority. Also, perhaps you might want to
concider releasing the KC everyother week. I looks like a lot of work is
needed for just one issue, so i think releasing one everyother week would be
reasonable, and perhaps lead to a consistant schedule, well that's just my 2
cents. On with the corrections.

In the first section, you say,
No good deed will remain without punishment, someone said, and was
    probably right.
Some of this should probably be in quotes, since it was something that someone
said.
``No good deed will remain without punishment'' someone said, and was
    probably right.

In the 3rd section, last sentence,
In another message, Ian stated that he is working on making it easier to
integrate the *scriting* engine into apps
you probably want 'scripting' engine here.

In the 6th section, last sentence, you write,
(that is today when i write this, the 30th *December*)
Do you mean 'the 30th November?'
