I guess it depends on the UDDI version.
For v3, serviceKey could be build not in guid-based fashion but with a
human-like keygenerator model (e.g., like here:
http://uddi.org/pubs/uddi_v3_features.htm#_Toc10457165)

If you have created (with UDDI v3 style keys) all services in your
search, you could just analyse their belonging by analysing the key
string. Say, "uddi:conversion-service:video:myservice" or
"uddi:conversion-service:another-stuff:boo"

As for UDDI versions prior to v3, I feel you should retrieve the
services and check out their categories and indentifiers.

Subject: check wether service belongs to category, serviceKey given

hi list!

i ve got an urgent question.

given a list of serviceKeys, is it possible to find out, which of these
services belong to certain categories?

something like find_service(123132, "video conversion service",..) which
returns null or false or something like this, if the service with
serviceKey number 123132 is not in the category "video conversion
service".

thank you in advance for your reply!

yours
dani
