5.04 was something of a nightmare. Right now I'm running:
Modem module Firmware Boot DSP
Mdm Number Rev Rev Rev
1/0 0 5.1(5) 3.0(4) 22.0/47.0
Not much better :-(
Lots of complaints about stalls, disconnects, and widely varying
connection speed and stability from the same place. I've dialed into that
box from a Gateway PC running a Gateway telepath upgraded to the latest
V.90 and experienced pretty much the same thing myself.
