    when I run faxstat, the following message comes up:
    
    Server on localhost:FIFO for all modems: Running.
    Server on localhost:ttya for +494077182109: Running and idle.
    Server on localhost:ttya/orig for o~: No status (cannot open file).

    What does " Server on localhost:ttya/orig for ~: No status (cannot open file) "
    mean ???

You previously configured a modem for use and did not remove the
FIFO special file and/or modem config file.
