*********************SUMMARY******************************
Thanks to Vince Vielhaber, Michael Hylton and Scott Riley!

Each of them pointed me to xhost + , however to my knowledge, the above
command of /usr/bin/X11/X -query nameofserver -once will only work
from the console and I could not get "xhost" to work from the console
(no windows). Their comments got me thinking so I tried the following
command:

/usr/bin/X11/X -ac -query nameofserver -once and it worked!

the -ac disables the access control restrictions. I still don't
understand what the difference is between my 2 systems- I don't need to
do this on the 382's.

Does anyone know of a way of not having to go to the console to invoke
an X window session? I would like to be in HP VUE and run a script that
will start up the solaris display on my HP without having to leave HP
Vue first and go to a console.
