Hello List,

hopefully i picked the right list. i'm very new to linux and multimedia
stuff. Here goes the Question: 

Is a usb webcam attached to a linux box a suitable source for the producer? 
everything i read was about capturing the firewire/ieee1394 input.

The webcam is a Philips 740K usb. There are Linux Drivers for it in
available (http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/). 
Doesn't make much sense to stream from a isdn connection to more than one
user. So using Helix Producer with a Server on a remote Linux Server with
good internet connection would be real nice solution.  

Any help and input is highly appreciated.
