What you see on that list is a tentative roster. We are interested in
making as many codecs and formats available as open source as possible, and
provide binary plug-ins for others. We are wading through many distribution
agreements to see what we can and cannot do, so stay tuned! There may also
be some codecs or formats that we can provide eventually but will not have
time to do for the initial code release.

Furthermore, even if there is some format that RealNetworks does not
include with Helix, a complete set of APIs are available to plug in
whatever you wish (e.g., Ogg Vorbis). We may elect to seed a few projects
for codecs and formats we would like the community to have that we're
unable to provide code for directly, and the community is welcome to
sponsor additional projects in this area.

If you have additional questions along this line, feel free to post them to
discuss@open.helixcommunity.org.

Thanks for your interest in Helix!
