Thanks to this work, gst-launch is indeed a very useful debugging tool
for gstreamer and I think a graphical version does not provide
signifantly better functionnality to that respect.
The value added of a graphical pipeline editor could be to easily cook
up a small standalone application from the edited pipeline, or just
run it to a filesink, as the poor man's video editor. Something like
quicktime composer.
