Hello,

I know this is probably not the 'right' place to post this, but I can't pass
up the knowledge held here :)

A few months ago I tried a late 2.6 test kernel on this Toshiba Satellite Pro
4600 laptop, and quickly switched back to the 2.4 kernel I was running.
Reasons for which I'll say later.
This evening I got bored and thought I'd try again, but am being frustrated
with the same problem.

The mouse cursor is a bit too fast, but bearable.
What isn't bearable is single/double clicking. If I make a slow, forceful
single click, I get a single click. If I make a quick single click, I get a
double click! Extraordinarily annoying. It means having to think about every
click.
Exactly the same problem as I had with the late 2.6 test kernel.

Is there some option I can pass to the kernel, or change in the kernel config,
to alter the sensitivity of the mouse?

I'm using the built in 'nipple' and mouse buttons.

Cheers
