I hope this isn't an etiquette violation, but I have a bunch of small
post-install things that I haven't gotten an answer for on IRC. Rather than
barrage the list with a series of mails, I figured I'd ask them at once, and
see what people knew:
* I have a mobo with integrated sound and a PCI SoundBlaster card.
Everything uses the separate card except for xmms, which is going to the
onboard output. How do I change the sound device priority? I've compiled
both into the kernel but could redo them as modules if necessary. (Obviously
I could leave out support for one device, but I'd like to have them both
available.)
* Upon shutdown, everything stops and unmounts properly, but the system
doesn't power off, stopping at a "safe to power off" message. How can I get
full shutdown?
* lm-sensors works fine, but two of the drivers give ""Unable to write to
/proc" errors. Is that anything to worry about and is there a way to fix it?
In any case, I want to thank everyone who helped me directly and who worked
on the excellent documentation. This is a great community! I'm looking
forward to getting all the last little bugs out.
