All,
while attempting to install gentoo to an ultra60 (dual 450mhz, 1gb, dual =
18gb disk, 1 Elite3D-m6, 1 Elite3D-M3) Everything goes great; however I =
seem to have an issue getting the second display set to anything above 11=
52x900.
Display0 (the M3) runs at the expected 1280x1024. The second display (th=
e M6) will not do any resolution beyond 1152x900. Both monitors are the =
exact same, Dell 2000FP's.
I tried setting in the nvram:
setenv output-device screen:r1280x1024
... to no avail.
XFree86 is configured with both displays identically; the afb.ucode loads=
properly, and I can use gnome. However, the first display sets 1280x102=
4, and the second display does not follow suit.
I checked everywhere I could think, and definitely sun states that both t=
he M3 and the M6 support 1280x1024 at the proper rates to allow the 2000F=
P's to work properly.
Does anyone know of a method to force both cards (or understand why one d=
oes not connect at the higher refresh rate) to 1280x1024?
Thanks in advance.
-Nick
