Please do the following an post your results:

$ lspci || cat /proc/pci
$ modprobe i810
$ dmesg | tail -n 20
$ lsmod
$ grep "810" /usr/src/linux/.config && grep "8X0" /usr/src/linux/.config

What we're doing is:

1. Finding what video card you have.
2. Seeing if you have the module compiled for an i810.
3. Seeing if it loads
4. Seeing what modules you have loaded
5. Looking for key elements of you kernel compile
