About: dtrx intelligently extracts many different archive types. It will
get the contents from tar, zip, rpm, deb, and cpio archives, as well as
compressed files, with one simple command. It helps keep your filesystem
sane by putting every archive's contents into a dedicated directory, and
making sure the owner can read and write whatever's extracted. It can even
recursively extract archives.
Changes: Crashes which occurred when dtrx "extracts" an empty archive were
fixed. LZMA compression is detected by file magic. Word wrapping in

About: Encog is an advanced neural network and bot programming library. It
can be used independently either to create neural networks or HTTP bot
programs. It also includes classes that combine these two advanced
features. It contains classes for Feedforward Neural Networks, Hopfield
Neural Networks, and self organizing maps. Training can be accomplished
using back-propagation, simulated annealing, and genetic optimization.
Additional classes are provided for pruning neural networks. Encog also
includes advanced HTTP bot programming features. A multi-threaded spider
that can store its workload either in memory on a database is provided.
HTML parsing is provided, as well as advanced form and cookie handling.
Changes: This is a major update to the Encog Neural Network and Bot
framework. It adds the Encog workbench, which is a GUI tool that can be
used to edit the .EG files that Encog uses to save neural networks and
training data. The workbench can be used to construct all neural network
types that Encog supports, such as Hopfield, Feedforward, and Self
Organizing Maps. Training can also be performed using the workbench. The
workbench can generate Java, C# and Visual Basic code for the neural

code base has been removed. The new minor version number reflects the

About: The massXpert software package is a mass spectrometry environment
for linear (bio-)polymers. It inherits all the innovations of GNU
polyxmass. It allows the detailed definition of new polymer chemistries in
the XpertDef module. These chemistry definitions are then used in the
desktop calculator-like mass calculator (XpertCalc) and in the
sophisticated polymer sequence editor and (bio-)chemical/mass spectrometric
simulations module (XpertEdit). Available simulations include polymer and
monomer chemical modifications, polymer sequence cleavage, gas-phase
fragmentation, m/z ratio calculations, and more.
Changes: This release fixes a bug whereby the program would crash upon
pasting in XpertEdit a polymer sequence containing invalid characters.

About: pycrc is a parametrizable Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) calculation
utility and C source code generator written in Python. The used CRC variant
can be chosen from a fast but space-consuming implementation to smaller but

About: V6 Thompson Shell Port provides two ports of the original /bin/sh
from Sixth Edition (V6) Unix (circa 1975). osh is an enhanced port of the
shell, and sh6 is an unenhanced port of the shell. This project also
includes the following external shell utilities: glob6, if, goto, and fd2.
Changes: This release changes the effect of the "-v" command-line option
so that, in addition to printing non-blank command lines to the standard
error, the shell also prints each blank/empty command line as an empty
line. It also changes the fd2 "-e" command-line option so that it reflects
the documented behavior. For example, this change causes invocation of "fd2
-ef file command" to redirect both conventional output and diagnostic
output from "command" to "file".

game. You pilot your "vi"per craft through core memory, rescuing lost .swp

which will take you to the next node in the cluster.
Changes: The Space Octopi now have frickin' lasers on their heads.
Stallman's airships now have frickin' lasers as well. A bug where portaudio
was being shut down prematurely has been fixed. Some items no longer simply

About: WordGenerator generates hypothetical words from specifications of
their syllable structure. The user specifies the maximum length of the
words in syllables, the abstract structure of syllables in the language (in
terms of such units as consonants and vowels or onsets and rhymes), and the
actual sounds that comprise each abstract class (e.g. the list of vowels in
the language); WordGenerator then generates the words that conform to this
specification. Such lists are useful to field linguists exploring the
vocabulary of a language, and to designers of artificial languages.
Changes: The program now checks for Tk 8.5 or greater on X11 and, if this
is detected, smaller type sizes are used. Console output is now avoided
under MS Windows. A Spanish translation has been added. The license is now
version 3 of the GPL.
