I am having a problem with FW1 v3.0b with patch 3084 on Solaris. When I
use user authentication (with OS/NIS) the response when using http is
very slow. If I configure a machine to just go straight through with
http (via just an accept rule) it work very well. When I put a sniffer
between the clients I see TONS of retransmissions when going through
user authentication for http but almost non for just an accept rule. I
am even having no problems with just one machine doing accept while
everybody else is doing User Authentication. My traffic level is very
low and my CPU utilization is only around 10%. Anybody know the cause?

Thanks for any help.
