Hello,
I have installed festival on WinXp. It is a VC installation, I ran cygwin bash shell \
from cygwin.bat and created makefile. I used VC 6.0 for the compilation.

I was having a problem where I could not use sable files and it wwas giving error \
Scheme C not implemented. This problem has been solved, it was due to environment \
variable  TMPDIR=c:/tmpdir
This problem was solved when i set it to
TMPDIR=file:/c:/tmpdir
In this case it searches for scheme "file"
---------------
Now I am having the problem
TTS user mode: "file:/c:/tmp/est_01044_00000" cannot be written to
festival: text modes, caught error and tidying up

This means it is passing the entire string to fopen in
festival\src\modules\Text\text_modes.cc
It calls um_apply_filter in this file where it passes the entire string instead of \
striping the file: part. fopen in um_filter_apply fails and gives me this error.
Can anyone tell me what setting I have to do to remove this error ?

Thanks,
Anjali
