Hello,
I am installing festival on Windows XP and trying to use Sable. I have created the \
VCMakefile in cygwin and compiled using VC 6. I had run the cygwin bash shell from \
the cygwin.bat while creating the makefile. Am running festival from the dos prompt \
after running vcvars32.bat

I was getting a problem which was partially solved
by setting the environment variable

TMPDIR=file:/c:/tmpdir

Initially it was set to c:/tmpdir and was trying to search for scheme c of c:

However, now it is giving me this error

TTS user mode: "file:/c:/tmpdir/est_01312_00000" cannot be written to
festival: text modes, caught error and tidying up

So it is passing the entire string to fopen instead of passing only c:/tmpdir and \
removing the file:/ part. This part of the code is in src/modules/text/text_modes.cc, \
it calls um_apply_filter, which in turn calls fopen where it fails.

If anyone knows how to solve this problem do reply back and whether any more \
environment variables have to be set....please help.

Thanks,
Anjali
