I didn't know about "sensors" but it also tells me what I wanted:

[root@bobgBox83-F29 bobg]# sensors
coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Package id 0: +43.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0: +43.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1: +42.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 2: +43.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 3: +42.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

When unable to display gkrellm sensors in this computer I
tried in the Fedora 27 box, got the same result, so it may
well be some thing I am doing wrong. Although it always
worked for me in the past?

Fedora 29 has worked well for me so far, unlike Fedora 28
which I could never get configured to my satifaction.

Thanks,

Bob
