ok can someone give me some info to resolve this? i'm looking to just
have 1 xfree install, not X11R6 and X11R6-DRI, but when i change the
ProjectRoot in host.def to X11R6 during make install i always get the
error

mkdir -p /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xserver
mkdir: Error File Exists

(something like that) i've tried removing that file before make install,
etc. but nothing how can i get around this? i tried coping over
X11R6-DRI to X11R6 but i had probs with that as ever though the Xfree
log would say Direct Rendering Enabled glxinfo did not say so and games
would not work (but i had backed up both those directories to tar files
so it was easy to restore) so how can i get past this error and just
install straight into X11R6? it seems to be symlinking that to
/etc/X11/xserver and then trying to create a directory on that same file
afterward... thanks for any help anyone can give, i'm on Slackware 7.1
