Sounds like the another driver is loaded for that card and hence won't
attach to that PCI address (card). Can't help much further as I'm a bit lost
after that point.
I have a 7000 based card on my laptop, have yet to convince it to work yet
as I get hard lockups after a few minutes at best and no hardware
acceleration. 
Posted a bit about it on the 8th, heard nothing yet as far as suggestions as
to where to go from there... 
Perhaps a generic SVGA driver or "stock" radeon driver is loaded?

Card radeon 7000
Can't have dri enable because of  (according to Xfree86.0.log):

drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0
drmOpenDevice: open result is 6, (OK)
drmOpenByBusid: drmOpenMinor returns 6
drmOpenByBusid: drmGetBusid reports PCI:1:0:0
(II) RADEON(0): [drm] drmSetBusid failed (6, PCI:1:0:0), Device or resource
busy
(EE) RADEON(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed.  Disabling DRI.

There isn't any other important error. humm, dmesg seems fine to me
agpart first, next the drm.

searched the web and there is a lot of people with the same problem. I
have a Debian distro and installed GATOS, and i think that i installed
dri-trink some time ago but didn't work (it uses glxdrv something
insted of radeon)

Thanks a lot for the DriTroubleshooting that's quite useful, and if
there is a solution for my problem post it there...
