I didn't think any of the randomization patches were available with 2.18.3.
Also, for a heterogeneous compute farm, such as one with end-users mixed in
with dedicated powerful build boxes, the randomization scheme should set the
probabilities according to the machine power. The number of available
compile slots is a good measure of this. Some time ago I submitted a patch
that would do this - it would select a machine with two available slots
twice as often as the machine with only one.
