Hi,

I'm having a problem adding entries from the Directory Server Gateway on
NDS 4.11. I've got the directory set up so that the Office locations
for a company are seperate ou's and am trying to add Person entries
directly into their respective offices on creation. I'm using the
"Other" option for where to place the entries and am typing in the full
path (ex: ou=Cincinnati, ou=Offices, o=cinnetic.com)...The server will
create the entry and bring up the edit form correctly. However, when I
try to save the entry I receive an LDAP error telling me that the parent
of the entry does not exist. Everything in the path name is present in
the directory so I don't understand why I get this error. Has anyone
else had this problem? Or does anyone know of any limitations in the
dsgw that restrict Person entries to only being added to the ou=People?
From the documentation it seems like I'm doing it the correct way...but
it isn't working. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jim Emerick
