The fallout from the silly and idiotic machinations of the
entertainment industry are already being realized. Tower Records, with
their generally overpriced products, is now history. The ability of
music lovers to now be "allowed" to purchase only the songs from albums
that they feel are worthy is teaching the big boys in the music
industry a lesson. Fair Use duplication of digital products remains
viable in general terms, even as the industry tries to fight that right
at every turn. Just the other day, the "unbreakable" DRM scheme for
Blu-Ray was broken, even before the products are ready to begin rolling
out.
