I haven't really had any problems with my PB G3/400 (Pismo) in terms of
software issues (running OS 9.1) but just as long as you realize there
are a few quirks, then you should be okay. I bought this last July, and
the date resets itself to 1904 (there are a few debates as to why this
occurs and Apple is aware of this issue). Our Wallstreet PB G3/300 at
work is 1-1/2 years old and we just replaced the battery at $100. The
monitor on the Wallstreet PB is also degrading (it's definitely not as
bright as it used to be). Those are things we are dealing with
currently. I am still pretty happy with mine though and love being able
to take it places.
You should check out www.powerbookcentral.com and Apple's Powerbook
support website for more issues.
