I am now test driving this server with MS client for Netware on Win98. The
client gets started
from a real mode with NWRedir loaded and later transit to 32 bits IPX in
Windows. This is what
I found:-

1. on DOS environment, I can sign on and attach to the server. I can list the
files and directories.
But when a file is executed, it said "access denied" or "could not executed
file". Only after I loaded
"command.com" , I could perform execute, read and write. Obviously, there is
compatibly problem
as I don't have the same problem if I use Netware VLM client.

2. In the Windows environment, Windows could not to read directories with
"space" between, such
as "Program Files", and for files such as links it reads "Internet Explorer"
as "Internet_Explorer".
It creates directories and files the same way, i.e. replacing "space" with
underscore, i.e. if I want choose
to install a program to "F:\Program Files", Windows actually created
"F:\Program_Files" on the server.
My system files are on this netware server, kind of remote boot system I
built.

This is my /etc/opt/netware/nwconfig

ds_bindery_context = "OU=ADM.OU=TEST.O=WPKGATE"
file_access_control = "netware"
server_name = "WPKGATE"
ts_type = "Single"

and /etc/opt/netware/nwusers

admin.adm.test.wpkgate.wpkgate_tree:nwroot
wpkgate.adm.test.wpkgate.wpkgate_tree:pkwong
pkwong.adm.test.wpkgate.wpkgate_tree:pkwong
supervisor.adm.test.wpkgate.wpkgate_tree:nwroot

3. Obviously, after unsuccesful attempt to install some Windows
applications, the "core" directroy
in /var/opt/netware/core are filled with some lost files :-(

Are there any way to get round these problems?
