a colleague just asked if there was a way to get the "kernel: "
prefix on kernel (printk) messages printed to the console. he's
used to seeing that "kernel:" prefix on his RH system in, for
instance, /var/log/messages, and has configured busybox to
run both klogd and syslogd.

all of his printk kernel messages are properly getting printed to
the console port, except he would like that prefix just for aesthetics.
i scanned the source in sysklogd/ and didn't see anything that
would constitute an option for something like this.

is there a simple way to get this? or is that something that
the programmer is expected to add manually?

rday
