Maybe it's hardware, but something odd happens when I try
to extract from tape using cpio.

99% of the time I get:

[root@jmrdev busybox-0.60.2]# ./busybox cpio -itvF /dev/st0
drwxr-xr-x 0/0 0 Dec 31 17:48 /boot
drwxr-xr-x 0/0 0 Feb 17 02:37 /boot/lost+found
-rw-r--r-- 0/0 237 Mar 13 21:13 /boot/kernel.h-2.2.16
cpio: Unsupported format or invalid magic

I'm using the latest 0.60.2 version pulled of the website this PM.

I'm using RedHat 6.2 Kernel 2.2.17-14 on a P166.

I'm using and advansys ABP-510 ISA scsi controller and an HP35480A DAT
drive.

GNU cpio version 2.4.2 has no trouble writing and restoring from the DAT.

Can anyone give me a hint as to what's going on here?
