I think the best idea is to not to try to overload the function;
just always pass in an unsigned int.  In fact, be very sure that it is
unsigned (as now actually looking at the code) you are going to have
lots of headaches with sign extension, etc.


P.S.  Your mail client is broken; it does not respect the
Mail-Copies-To header.
