Hi:

	I have an asus board with the 3112 controller and I could not get it to
work properly in "semi-hardware"
	raid onfiguration either with RD8 or RD9.  I did not spend alot of time
with it.  I can alo see the drives seperate even though
	the bios is configured as raid.

	Please let me know if you get this to work, altough I am probably going to
install an LSI SCSI raid board
	with SCSI drives.

-- Did you go on promise's web site, one of their driver for red hat 8 will
work for your chip.  Read the readme for installation of the driver.
