As far as I can tell the 20030616-p9 or the 20040623 work well with SA 3.0.

The only thing I noticed when running 20030616-p9  in chroot and using SA 3.0
is a missing load of a perl module Mail::SpamAssassin::Locker::UnixNFSSafe
(file amavisd, in subroutine fetch_modules_extra):
