Arne,

I can understand your frustration. This is a serious issue, and I would very
much like to solve it. So I did some research and talked to the Phonon
developers. From my understanding the issue is not in Amarok's code. Still, if
anything could be done to resolve it (a workaround, e.g.), I will gladly work
on it.

@Harald: Sorry for bugging you again. Do you think there is anything we could
do to get around this problem? You tried to explain the issue to me before, but
to be honest I still haven't fully understood it. Please ELI5 :)
